Senior Researcher in Medicinal Chemistry

岗位职责

1. Track emerging technologies and targets worldwide and provide professional advice on the company’s R&D pipeline. Independently lead the initiation and key milestones of early-stage innovative drug research projects in line with the company’s strategy, taking responsibility for project outcomes.
2. Undertake new drug R&D, including target investigation and selection, patent analysis, molecular design and optimization (including structure–activity relationship studies and druggability optimization based on ADMET and physicochemical properties), synthetic route design, and the identification and nomination of candidate compounds (PCCs).
3. Work closely with internal teams responsible for biological screening, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology and toxicology, and process development (CMC) to advance projects efficiently.
4. Draft, plan, and review project-related patents, and support the preparation and review of IND submission materials.
5. Build the medicinal chemistry team, manage day-to-day laboratory operations, develop talent, and conduct performance evaluations to foster an effective team culture.
6. Prepare regular project summaries and progress reports, and complete other assigned tasks.

任职要求

1. Education: A PhD in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry.
2. Experience: At least five years of industry experience in innovative drug R&D and at least three years of experience independently leading projects and managing teams. As project lead, have completed at least one candidate compound (PCC) nomination.
3. Strong expertise in medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis; familiarity with emerging technologies such as PROTACs, molecular glues, or ADCs; an international perspective on new drug R&D; and knowledge of recent developments and emerging topics in medicinal chemistry in one or more therapeutic areas.
