Core Technology Platforms

Peptide Technology Platform

This platform is one of the core technology platforms independently established by Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals. Supported by the "Beijing Key Laboratory of AI-based Intelligent Peptide Delivery", jointly established by Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals and XtalPi, it is dedicated to building an end-to-end capability spanning molecular design, delivery development, and clinical translation. The platform focuses on technological breakthroughs in three key directions: building an AI-driven integrated platform that combines virtual screening with wet-lab validation to accelerate peptide design and druggability optimization; developing novel oral delivery systems to enhance the gastrointestinal stability and bioavailability of peptide drugs; and exploring ultra-long-acting delivery and sustained-release formulation technologies to extend dosing intervals.
Built by a senior team with over 20 years of experience in the field of peptide drug R&D,the platform has supported the development and marketing application work for more than 10 drugs, secured 6 manufacturing approvals, and generated more than 60 patent applications, including 11 PCT applications. Based on this platform, the company's fourth-generation insulins, including GZR4, a once-weekly formulation, and GZR101, are progressing steadily through Phase III clinical development. GZR4 has also received approval for an IND from the United States.
The Peptide Technology Platform comprises three sub-platforms:

NovaPeptide (Peptide Technology Platform): Empowering intelligent peptide design with AI computing, it integrates technologies such as structure prediction, sequence generation and optimization, and prediction of activity and druggability. The platform enables precise candidate selection and rapid design iteration to enhance peptide activity, stability, and half-life, while shortening development timelines.

SupOraTide (Oral Peptide Technology Platform): Leveraging a digital intelligent delivery platform, it develops universal oral macromolecule delivery technologies, builds a database of drug product excipients and carriers, and uses efficient in vivo and in vitro screening and evaluation systems and PBPK prediction models to improve screening efficiency. It is committed to achieving the R&D goal of oral macromolecule formulations with high absorption and low toxicity.

Longlastide (Ultra-long-acting Peptide Technology Platform): Focusing on research into biocompatibility, stable and controllable drug release, and dosing frequency, it explores ultra-long-acting drug product technologies for monthly/quarterly administration and various peptide drug R&D scenarios, to extend product life cycles.

PROTAC Technology Platform

The platform focuses on discovering innovative PROTAC drugs targeting difficult-to-drug proteins. It has established comprehensive capabilities across chemical synthesis, cell and molecular biology, structural biology, DMPK, pharmacology, toxicology, CMC, and formulation development. To date, the platform has developed more than 150 proprietary E3 ubiquitin ligase ligands with 10–100× higher binding affinity than IMiD-based ligands.

The platform is equipped with world-class instrumentation, including triple quadrupole (QQQ) and time-of-flight (Q-TOF) mass spectrometers, supercritical fluid chromatography, Waters high-pressure and CombiFlash medium-pressure preparative chromatography systems, and liquid chromatography systems (Agilent, Shimadzu). It also houses biological testing equipment, including Tecan full-wavelength microplate readers, Thermo real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) instruments, flow cytometers, and an IVC (Individually Ventilated Cage) animal facility. This advanced equipment suite supports key R&D activities, such as chemical synthesis, biological testing, physicochemical analysis, and in vivo research.

The platform has supported multiple programs in reaching clinical-candidate milestones and advancing into IND development, ensuring the efficient progression of innovative drugs.

Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Platform

The Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Platform is one of Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals’ core proprietary technology platforms for chronic metabolic diseases. Focused on diabetes, obesity, and other chronic metabolic conditions, the platform has established an comprehensive early discovery system covering "target identification—sequence design—delivery platform development—screening and evaluation." It integrates capabilities in oligonucleotide molecular design, chemical modification, drug delivery development, activity screening, and in vitro and in vivo evaluation of efficacy and safety. By combining AI-assisted design with experimental validation, the platform continuously optimizes the potency, target specificity, stability, and duration of action of oligonucleotide therapeutics—paving the way for next-generation, long-acting innovative medicines with distinct competitive advantages.

The platform focuses its R&D endeavors on three key areas:

1. AI-Driven Oligonucleotide Drug Discovery

Harnessing AI computational power for the intelligent design of oligonucleotide molecules, we have built an integrated R&D loop of "AI learning – experimental validation – algorithm optimization." This closed-loop process enables high-throughput screening and rapid iterative optimization of candidate molecules, significantly accelerating early-stage drug discovery timelines.

2. Multi-Target Oligonucleotide Technology

To address the clinical needs for coordinated modulation of multiple targets in chronic metabolic diseases, we are exploring novel multi-target siRNA strategies through the synergistic design of linkers and delivery platform, offering differentiated treatment options for diabetes, obesity, and other metabolic disorders.

3. Extrahepatic & Multi-Tissue Targeted Delivery

Building on the continued optimization of liver-targeted delivery technologies, we are prioritizing delivery strategies for extrahepatic tissues, including the central nervous system (CNS), skeletal muscle, and adipose tissue. By co-optimizing molecular structure and delivery vehicles, we aim to comprehensively improve tissue selectivity, delivery efficiency, and safety —broadening the therapeutic potential of oligonucleotide therapeutics in chronic metabolic diseases.

Antibody Technology Platform

Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals has established comprehensive technology platforms covering antibody drug discovery and process development.
The antibody discovery platform integrates technologies including phage display, mRNA display, and hybridoma technology for antibody screening and discovery. Focused on autoimmune diseases and oncology, it covers multiple molecular formats such as monoclonal antibodies, multispecific antibodies, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), with several programs currently in preclinical or clinical development.
Guided by Quality by Design (QbD) principles, the antibody process development platform provides end-to-end capabilities encompassing high-yield stable cell line construction, cell culture, purification, formulation development, and quality studies, delivering systematic technical support for antibody drugs from R&D to commercialization.
