Gan & Lee Showcases Multiple Innovative Research Achievements at the American Diabetes Association’s 86th Scientific Sessions
Date:2026-06-10

The American Diabetes Association's 86th Scientific Sessions, a globally recognized premier academic event in diabetes, successfully concluded in New Orleans, United States. Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals ("Gan & Lee"; Stock Code: 603087.SH) has participated in the ADA Scientific Sessions for several consecutive years. At this year's meeting, the company presented multiple innovative research findings on its product candidates, including bofanglutide injection (a biweekly GLP-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) formulation with the research code GZR18) and insulin ludefen injection (a once-weekly insulin formulation with the research code GZR4).

Hosted by the American Diabetes Association, the ADA Scientific Sessions are one of the world's leading academic conferences in diabetes, dedicated to sharing the latest advances and clinical applications in diabetes diagnosis and treatment. The meeting brings together leading endocrinology experts, researchers, and frontline healthcare professionals from around the world, focusing on key areas including diabetes prevention, precision treatment, and chronic disease management. Through in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies and innovative progress, the conference continues to advance both scientific understanding and clinical practice in diabetes care.

As a leading company in China's biopharmaceutical industry, Gan & Lee leverages its strong R&D foundation to actively engage with the ADA's top-tier academic platform, presenting the latest research progress of its internally developed innovative products to the global metabolic disease community.

At this year's meeting, Gan & Lee presented the latest research data on three internally developed investigational formulations via oral poster presentations: bofanglutide injection (a biweekly GLP-1RA), insulin ludefen injection (a once-weekly insulin), and GZR102 injection (a once-weekly basal insulin/GLP-1RA fixed-ratio combination formulation).

The four studies systematically demonstrated Gan & Lee's R&D exploration of long-acting therapies for metabolic diseases across clinical application scenarios. The findings further support the use of bofanglutide injection and insulin ludefen injection in patients with renal impairment. Meanwhile, the GZR102 injection demonstrated promising glucose-lowering and weight-loss potential in diabetic animal models. The basal insulin and GLP-1RA components in the formulation acted independently, with no mutual interference in their pharmacokinetic characteristics, supporting the product's further clinical development.

In addition to presenting the latest research data, Gan & Lee also featured an immersive, 3D molecular structure interactive experience at its booth. The Company transformed the drug molecules of two core internally developed products, bofanglutide injection and insulin ludefen injection, into 3D panoramic models that supported modular disassembly and dynamic recombination. This interactive visualization experience enabled on-site experts and scholars to gain a more tangible understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the products' ultra-long half-life, robust glucose-lowering and weight-loss efficacy, and stable metabolic profile, attracting strong interest from many leading experts in the field.

In recent years, Gan & Lee has remained guided by clinical needs and has placed a strong emphasis on advancing innovative drug R&D. The company has established a dual-engine business strategy driven by both innovative drugs and biosimilars, continuously enriching its R&D pipeline. At present, several highly promising Class 1 innovative drugs are in clinical development. The innovative product candidates showcased at this year's ADA Scientific Sessions, including bofanglutide injection, insulin ludefen injection, and GZR102 injection, have continued to attract significant industry attention.

Through its participation in the ADA Scientific Sessions, Gan & Lee shared its latest research findings with attendees and scholars, while demonstrating the R&D capabilities and innovation vitality of Chinese biopharmaceutical companies to the global metabolic disease community.

Guided by its corporate culture of Science & Excellence”, Gan & Lee will continue to focus on clinical needs in metabolic diseases, advancing independent innovation alongside its global expansion strategy. The company will continue to deepen its R&D efforts in convenient and effective glucose-lowering therapies suitable for diverse treatment scenarios. By continuing to present Chinese R&D achievements on leading global academic platforms, Gan & Lee is committed to providing higher-quality and more patient-centered treatment options for people with diabetes worldwide.
