The PROTAC technology platform has established strong technological advantages and core competitiveness in PROTAC drug development. This work serves as a central component of Gan & Lee's R&D system. Led by nationally recognized overseas experts, the platform includes more than 120 members, over 70% of whom hold master's or doctoral degrees. Core team members have contributed to and led the development of multiple FDA-approved and First-in-Class drugs.
The platform focuses on discovering innovative PROTAC drugs targeting difficult-to-drug proteins. It has established comprehensive capabilities across chemical synthesis, cell and molecular biology, structural biology, DMPK, pharmacology, toxicology, CMC, and formulation development. To date, the platform has developed more than 150 proprietary E3 ubiquitin ligase ligands with 10–100× higher binding affinity than IMiD-based ligands.
The platform is equipped with world-class instrumentation, including triple quadrupole (QQQ) and time-of-flight (Q-TOF) mass spectrometers, supercritical fluid chromatography, Waters high-pressure and CombiFlash medium-pressure preparative chromatography systems, and liquid chromatography systems (Agilent, Shimadzu). It also houses biological testing equipment, including Tecan full-wavelength microplate readers, Thermo real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) instruments, flow cytometers, and an IVC (Individually Ventilated Cage) animal facility. This advanced equipment suite supports key R&D activities, such as chemical synthesis, biological testing, physicochemical analysis, and in vivo research.
The platform has supported multiple programs in reaching clinical-candidate milestones and advancing into IND development, ensuring the efficient progression of innovative drugs.
